My Story
Dr. Deanna Hegge (Shenk) hails from Winchester, Virginia. She completed her undergraduate studies in Animal and Poultry Sciences and Dairy Science at Virginia Tech. She then earned her DVM from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Hegge worked in a large mixed animal practice in Upstate New York, focusing primarily on equine and dairy cattle. In 2022, she moved back to Virginia. Her professional interests include equine dentistry, preventative medicine, internal medicine, and neonatal foal care.

Dr. Hegge currently resides in Winchester, Virginia, with her husband, two dogs, and two horses. She is licensed to practice in VA, WV, MD, and NY.
